18k PVD Gold

PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. It's a coating process used by luxury watchmakers like Rolex and Hublot to bond metal to a surface at the atomic level.

Here's how it works: 18k gold is vaporized inside a vacuum chamber and deposited onto stainless steel in a thin, incredibly durable layer. Unlike traditional plating, which sits on top and wears off with friction, PVD becomes part of the surface itself.

The result is a gold finish that won't tarnish, peel, chip, or turn your skin green. It handles water, sweat, chlorine, and daily wear without losing its color.

Surgical-Grade Stainless Steel

Every Taylor bead starts as 316L stainless steel. It's the same grade used in surgical instruments and high-end watches. We chose it for three reasons.

First, it's hypoallergenic. No nickel reactions, no irritation, safe for sensitive skin. Second, it doesn't corrode. Salt water, chlorine, sweat, soap. It resists all of it. Third, it gives every bead a satisfying weight that feels like real jewelry, not costume.

Stainless steel is the foundation that makes everything else possible. Without a strong base, even the best gold coating won't perform.

Jewelry-Grade Elastic

We use a durable, industrial-strength elastic cord designed for a slip-on fit. No clasp to fumble with. No sizing anxiety. It stretches comfortably over your hand and holds its shape on your wrist.

The cord is strong enough to retain its form through daily wear, workouts, and sleep, but flexible enough that you forget it's there. That's the point. Jewelry you put on once and stop thinking about.

We're confident enough in our materials to guarantee them. If the gold on any Taylor piece fades, tarnishes, or changes color under normal wear, we'll replace it. No time limit, no fine print. That's what happens when you build jewelry the right way.
