18k PVD gold
PVD stands for physical vapor deposition, the coating process luxury watchmakers use for durable gold finishes.
18k gold is vaporized in a vacuum chamber and bonded onto stainless steel. Unlike traditional plating, which sits on top and wears off with friction, PVD becomes part of the surface.
The result is a gold finish that won't tarnish, peel or turn your skin green, and handles water, sweat and chlorine without losing its color.

316L stainless steel
Every Taylor bead starts as 316L stainless steel, the grade used in surgical instruments and high-end watches. We chose it for three reasons.
It's skin-friendly: very low nickel release, so it's comfortable for most sensitive skin. It doesn't corrode: salt water, chlorine, sweat and soap won't touch it. And it gives every bead a satisfying weight that feels like real jewelry, not costume.
