About our bead necklaces

Our necklaces use the same construction as our bracelets — 18k gold, silver, or crystal pearl beads over a stainless steel core — so they behave the same way in water, sweat and daily wear. Nothing needs removing before the gym or the shower.

Each necklace is 20 inches, which sits just below the collarbone on most people. That length works alone and layers cleanly under or over a shorter chain or pendant, because bead texture reads differently to a flat chain and the two do not compete.

Layering

The simplest combination is a bead necklace with one finer chain at a different length. If you are layering three, vary both length and texture rather than adding another chain of similar weight.

Because the finish is bonded rather than plated, layered pieces rubbing against each other will not wear the color off — which is the usual reason layered necklaces start looking tired.
