How many bracelets should I wear in a stack?

Three to five is the sweet spot. Three reads deliberate and works for everyday wear; five makes a statement. Odd numbers tend to look more natural than even. Mixing bead sizes matters more than the count.

There are no rules here, but there are patterns that consistently work.

Start with three. It is enough to read as a stack rather than a single bracelet, and it stays wearable with anything. Build up from there if you want more presence.

Size mixing is what separates a considered stack from a pile. Graduated sizes — say 3mm, 4mm and 5mm — create depth because the eye reads the variation as intentional. Three identical bracelets read as one thick band.

Wrist size shifts the maths. Three pieces on a 6-inch wrist occupy the same visual space as four or five on a 7.5-inch wrist, so scale to the wearer rather than to a number.

If you would rather not assemble it yourself, our curated stacks pair graduated sizes already.
